QSBC offers accredited and non-accredited short courses over a range of subjects. These courses are programmed into our calendar and can also be offered by request.
This Skill Set contains the following four units of competency –
AHCBUS506 – Develop and review a business plan
AHCBUS507 – Monitor and review business performance
AHCBUS509 – Develop and implement business structures and relationships
BSBRSK501 – Manage Risk
We’ve developed a course that delivers these units holistically, and is focussed on the student consulting with business owners to take on a project within the workplace. We aim to deliver the soft skills and support to enable them to take control of a project within your business, and work on this over the duration of the course. The work they put into improving a part of your business is used as credit towards the outcome of the course.
Projects may include but are not limited to – continuous improvement, WH&S, energy usage/sustainability, workforce development. Basically any area of the business where things can be improved upon or savings achieved is the focus of the program.
The course is subsidised by the Qld State Government for eligible students. This course is suitable to a number of positions within business including leading hands, supervisors, packing shed staff, maintenance staff and anyone looking to progress their careers within the agricultural/horticultural industries.
