This course is designed for a worker in grounds maintenance or the softer side of garden landscaping.
You will learn how to maintain existing landscapes and obtain knowledge about controlling pests and diseases, how things grow and why things don’t grow.
The Parks and Gardens sector covers workers in local government parks and gardens, botanic gardens, schools and other public places as well as self-employed gardeners. Worker’s tasks may include: planting and maintaining trees and shrubs, lawns and garden features and installing and maintaining irrigation systems.
Please note this course is now superseded. We are still accepting enrolments however, if not completed by February 2023 you will be transitioned to the new course AHC31021 Certificate III in Parks and Gardens.
