
Course Overview
This Certificate II course has been developed to provide basic skills and knowledge to a student to prepare for work in the horticultural industry.
We have two course streams. One provides electives in the horticultural industry and the other has electives that relate more to working in a nursery.
This course provides the skills and knowledge for a range of entry level horticulture job roles.

As part of this course you will cover maintaining plants and planted areas, operating basic equipment and machinery, recognising plants, preserving plant specimens and chemical application, safety and handling.

Entry Requirements
While there are no formal entry requirements for this qualification, students undertaking this course will need to complete their training and assessment in a workplace environment or attend Landscape Skills yard for practical activities where applicable to fulfil the practical requirements of this course.
