    Course Overview

It is a course that is funded through Construction Skills Queensland (CSQ), subject to eligibility.

    It is ideal for individuals seeking to work as site supervisors within the structural landscaping field and who need to meet the competency requirements of the QBCC.

    The course delivers the essential units of competency that form part of the technical qualifications required by the QBCC for the Builder Restricted to Structural Landscaping – Site Supervisor Licence.

    These units have been carefully selected to ensure participants gain the knowledge and practical skills necessary to supervise structural landscaping work safely, effectively, and in accordance with industry regulations and standards.

    The training combines both theoretical and hands-on components, giving participants a comprehensive understanding of structural landscaping principles, materials, and site management practices.

    Entry Requirements

    Eligibility Criteria

    Apart from eligibility requirements is wanting CSQ funding, there are no formal entry requirements to enrol in this skill set. However, participants must be able to undertake training and assessment in a real or simulated workplace environment. This may involve completing practical activities at an approved workplace or attending sessions at the Landscape Skills yard to meet the practical requirements of the course and obtain the units of competency. Although not a formal prerequisite, it is important to note that anyone intending to perform construction work must have completed general construction induction training. This requirement is outlined in the Model Code of Practice for Construction Work. Completion of the unit CPCWHS1001 – Prepare to Work Safely in the Construction Industry satisfies this requirement and ensures individuals are equipped with essential safety knowledge before entering a construction site. This skill set is ideal for those aiming to progress their career in landscaping by gaining the credentials needed to supervise structural landscaping projects in Queensland.

    $3,000 - RPL for full course

    $3,000 RPL plus $600 per trained unit up to a maximum of $5,000

    This course may be eligible for government-subsidised funding including:
